Loved this. I did it with stewing steak though. Boiled up a litre of gravy, with an oxo cube and a beef stockpot. Browned the steak, then slow cooked it in the liquid at 160 for 3 hours. Melt in the mouth!

I cooked this for dinner tonight and although it was very tasty, I cooked the steak pieces for about 45 mins & was still chewy..what's the best steak to use please?

I've just cooked this using thin cooked beef steak. They fry really quickly.
